1. Subtle :
1) Is the change too obvious? No, it's very subtle.
2) Did you catch the subtle sucking up?
3) Subtle difference. Did you catch that?
4) Is this your subtle way of saying that I'm out of shape?
5) I have some news. There's no subtle way to put this.
6) I was just trying to be subtle, and that's not my thing.
2. Put :
1) It's very well put. -> 잘 표현했네. 잘 설명했네.
2) That's correct. Well put.
3) Simply put / To put it simply ->
4) Simply put, the customers are satisfied.
5) That's one way to put it.
6) Jan, is there anything you'd like to contribute?
Well, I can't put it any better than Ted did.
** Contribute : (이 상황에 기여하듯) 회의나 대화에서 의견을 말하다, 조언/의견/지식 등을 제공하다.
7) I can't think of a better way to put this, -> 더 잘 표현/설명할 방법이 딱히 생각나지 않을 때.
but it definitely has room for improvement.
8) There's not really an easy way to put this.
3. One's thing :
1) That's my thing. = That's my cup of tea.
2) This sort of artwork isn't everyone's cup of tea.
3) That's your thing. = That's your area of expertise. -> 전문분야
4) So this is where we need your expertise.
5) That's your specialty.
4. expertise
1) I could really use your expertise. (could use : to need or want something, ~
2) I could definitely use your brainpower.
**I couldn't ask for more.
**Salut. (To us, Cheers)
