[Expressions]

 

1. I haven't opend up my curtains yet.

 

2. We got hit by a typhoon.

 

3. I was burnt out / I am burnt out / I burned out.

 

4. put yourself down : 자신을 낮추다, 깎아내리다

   ex) You always put yourself down.

         Don't put yourself down! 자기비하 하지마. 기죽지마!

 

5. I've got a lot on my plate!

   -> I’m extremely busy and am doing too much.

 

6. slash : or 이나 and의 뜻으로 구어체에서 쓰임 (자주 쓰이지는 않음)

 

7. Northern Hemisphere : 북반구

 

8. It cooks quickly. : 빨리 익는다.

 

[Vocabularies]

 

1. IV

    ->A device that is used to allow a fluid (such as blood or a liquid medication) to flow directly into a patient's veins

    ex) The nurse started an IV.

 

2. the week after next : 다다음주

 

3. transformation : a complete or major change, 애벌레가 나비가 되는 것도 transformation

   * caterpillar(애벌레) -> butterfly

 

4. to put off : delay something

   ex) We've had to put off our wedding until September.

 

5. to procrastinate : 미루다

   ex) There's always tomorrow. So, we procrastinate living the life we truly desire.

          I no longer procrastinate anything.

6. broth : 육수, 채수, 수프

   ex) We're also going to add a little bit of vegitable broth.

 

7. to sub : 대체하다

   ex) If you have a nut allergy, you could also sub rice milk.

 

8. to chill out : to relax completely and not get upset or excited about anything,

                       to relax after you have done something tiring or stressful.

                       to calm down and relax

   -> out이 붙으면 chill하지 못한 상태에서 chill한 상태로 변하는 그림을 강조한다.

 

9. to cram : study intensively over a short period of time just before an exam

 

10. to unwind : to relax and stop thinking about work, problems, etc.
